In a key step towards pioneering advanced air mobility, Abu Dhabi debuted the UAE’s first operational vertiport for electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOLs). The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, and the Dubai World Trade Centre have successfully concluded a series of 12 international roadshows aimed at promoting Expand North Star, the world’s largest event for startups and investors. The roadshows, held across Poland, India, Brazil, China, Morocco, France, Switzerland, the UK, and the Netherlands, engaged with 1,500 startups and established collaborative partnerships with ecosystem partners, including venture capital firms, incubators, accelerators, and government-backed entities. The objective was to attract high-potential companies to Dubai. Expand North Star, organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, connects top global startups with innovators, investors, and entrepreneurs, fostering growth opportunities in Dubai’s burgeoning digital economy. Each roadshow included presentations on business opportunities in Dubai and how the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy can support startups in entering the market. A pitch competition was held in each city, with winners receiving fully sponsored visits to participate in Expand North Star. The four-day event serves as a crucial platform for networking, innovation, and collaboration, attracting the global tech community to Dubai. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is dedicated to advancing Dubai’s digital ecosystem and transforming the emirate into a leading global digital economy, aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). Expand North Star is a key element of this strategy, driving sustainable economic growth and establishing Dubai as a global hub for innovation and advanced technologies.
